VariaR
Variation in Romance languages
The main objective of the VariaR - Variation in Romance Languages - project, which began in 2019, is to contribute to the description and analysis of variable phenomena in Romance languages at the phonological, syntactic and textual-discursive levels. Its starting point is the study of variation in the Portuguese language and then a comparison of Portuguese with other Romance languages.
The project is coordinated by researchers Vanessa Meireles, from Paul-Valéry University, and Marcia dos Santos Machado Vieira, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and is already bringing together researchers and students from both institutions as well as other universities.
